stop these unwanted calls

I received the call from this number and I did key in info he asked me to.  This loaded teamviewer on my laptop.  In just a few minutes I deleted the new software.  

His initial approach was that I was having serious problems  with microsoft.  I assumed that I would be contacted in some other way than by phone.  I was the dummy this time, but not again.  

Just received the same call from 415-111-2000 as everyone else who has responded here about this number.  Started out as a robotic message indicating it was from Microsoft and there is a problem with my computer.  I pressed 1 (I'm sorry I did that) and then a man with an Indian accent answered and told me I was ignoring security alerts Microsoft was sending to my computer.   Surprisingly, he didn't ask for any personal information, but just told me to respond to any security alerts I would receive.  Was suspicious of this, and certainly would NOT do anything further.  I only hope by pressing 1, I wasn't somehow approving some charge from them to my phone.  Anyone have any thoughts about this possibility??
