debt collection

Extremely persistent and obnoxious bill collector.

Bill collector, rude and loud. I finally had enough and told them to go kick rocks, and hung up.

Called and said I owed and debt for a medical bill. I calmly told them that I will settle up with the hospital, as I do not owe their agency anything. He got frustrated and told me that the debt was turned over to him, I now owe him. I again told him I owe the hospital, and would pay the hospital, not him. Now he was really mad, and said that the hospital would not accept my payment, I then told him that will be my lucky day, wont have to pay. He threatened to send the sheriff to serve me papers, I said ok and hung up. That was 5 months ago, still waiting for the cops, lol. They still call daily, we do not answer.

It is actually against the law for them to threaten you with the police or legal action and can be fined significantly for each instance.
