I was told that this call was from a chimney-cleaning company. When I told them that I was in a do not call registry, the man said that they were given my phone number as part of a list from "the state".

They only asked for someone and then hung up. not sure what they were about.

Left confused message about chimney sweeping.

Got a call from them, or a similar company, about this time last year. Very rude, seemed to think that the do not call list didn't apply to them, but would take me off "the list" since I was "going to be that way about it."  Remember because it struck me as the least effective telemarketing pitch I'd heard.
