Got about 8 calls from this number today.  I answered and was a recorded message saying I had a call from "----------", an inmate st Hampshire county sheriffs office.  I don't think I know anybody there,  but if it was legit,  wouldn't they say a name?  I didn't accept any charges and if somebody is there that i do know, ive yet to find out who. I called back to see if if actually was the jail and also got  a fax machine.

We keep getting calls from this number as well, several times a day.  Caller ID indicates 413-582-6708 Inmate Calling.  Options are to accept the call, reject the call by hanging up or block the call.  We (our office secretaries as well as myself) have rejected the call several times.  All they do is call back.  We then tried blocking the call.  Guess what?  We're still receiving calls.  I think this is some kind of scam.

This is an inmate at the Hampshire County Jail & House of Corrections in Western Massachusetts.  You have several options- 1) if it is not a collect call, answer and let the caller know he has a wrong number. 2) contact the service provider Customer Service line

Are we supposed to feel sorry for someone who calls himself 'Slumdog?'

Any 'slumdog' who calls me when he's in the slammer is ON HIS OWN.
