Just received a call from this telephone number. No message was left. Anonymous callback reached a generic telemarketing recording saying that the survey has ended, press 1 to be placed on the Do Not Call List...blah blah blah.

I have a cellular TracFone and I don’t answer unknown numbers. Someone called today at 10:38 AM, my voice mail picked up and they did not leave a message.  My phone number is registered on the national and Florida Do Not Call Lists and I reported this call to them.  However these are probable scammers and WILL NOT abide by any DNC List!

I got this call yesterday on my pre-paid Net10 Tracphone. I try not to answer these calls; hit 'reject' instead, but occassionally they fool me into thinking they are a doctor we use or a local call.  Suspect either NET10/TRACPHONE ~or~ CALLINGMART.COM where we buy slightly discounted minutes are SELLING our number to SCAMMERS.  I will REPORT to the DNC these suspicisions and encourage you to do the same.  I get 1-5 of these calls or texts within 1-5 weeks of EVERY TIME I add new minutes.  Suspect they are (1) trying to get us to 'spend' those minutes as soon as possible and (2) attempting to PHISH for a CREDIT CARD #, which they will NEVER get because we always pay via PayPal.

Many of the outfits that spoof their originating telephone numbers are located overseas in countries such as India. The DNC list is pointless to them. I did read somewhere that the list is valid if these calls centers are calling on behalf of an organization that do not fit any of the massive loopholes in the law behind the DNC list.

Please describe the "loopholes" you mentioned.
Then, tell us why criminals need loopholes when they can merely ignore the law.
