Just got a call from this number.  Looked like a HOAX, so I picked up/hung up without answering and without letting it go to ans. machine.  Is this a legitimate number/call???

Caller ID said "LOWER TAX" which made me think its BOGUS.  This call was within my own area code, but NOT a 'local' call; we do not have a '206' exchange in our local area.

Just got a call. Caller ID said Springfield Ma. Recording talking about taxes. I hung up. I usually don't answer calls I don't know but the ID made me think it was the city calling

I have a cell-phone and I do not answer unknown numbers.  Someone called at 2:13 PM on 10/11/2013 and did not leave a message.  My phone number is registered on the national Do Not Call List and I reported this call to them.  I wonder if they are just trying scam people like us!
