thought it was a person I knew (area code was my home town). Asked for me by name. I asked who was calling? He said "Ben" I asked 'Ben from where? He just got harsher and asked again "Is this Chris" I asked again "ben from where?"  Then he got louder and kept asking if I was Chris. What a jerk! I hung up on him at that point.

This is another Nasty Collection Agency out of South Carolina who uses in Area Phone numbers to trick yo into answering..

They call after Hours, Their people are not trained in the law..

Got a  call from this number and asked for someone that I have never heard of !

I let the machine catch the call since I didn't know the number. Person identified themself as Mr. Stein. He kept talking louder & louder as message went on. Only identified himself as a debt collector at very end of message. Sounds like a scam to me.
