Person called, asked for owner of company, I told them he wasn't in, they said "Okay, bye" and hung up.

Person called, asked for someone by name but they don't work here and have never worked here. I let them know that, they wanted HR to sell us a retirement plan, I asked to take a message to forward to correct party, but they refused to leave a message and said they'd call back.

Solicitor.  Called and asked for our CEO.  I offered VM.  He said "that's alright" and hung up on me.

Received a call from this phone number asking for the owner of the company. I asked who was calling and she reported her name was Moncella, calling with Warren Carr (after Googling I found out they are an insurance agency). When I asked why she was calling she asked me again if he was available or not. I responded that I have to have who is calling, what company they are calling for, and a thorough explanation of WHY they are calling before I reach out to the owner. She stated that she was calling from Warren Carr for 'personal compensation'. I asked it regards to what and she didn't want to answer that.

I stayed on the line while I was searching the phone number she was calling from on this site, only to find out that this phone number has called me before looking for the owner. The rep then realized that she messed up they reason for her call and said "Well I was actually calling about...." At that point I had realized the game and hung up.

Called our business and asked for person by name, what his schedule was, who his boss was and how to get a hold of him stating that she cannot get through to him.  I stated he did not have a secretary and that he kept his own schedule.  I asked if I could take a message as I might see him.  She said no that is OK and hung up.  Number is not listed as a business.  Tried calling back and an answering machine picks up stating we are unavailable but there was not business associated with the answering machine.
