412-346-4714 called today and was blocked by our Digitone call blocker. (We block every area code 9#########, 8#########... 0#########.) We didn't answer it; it was blocked. Someone we know who wants to talk to us would call back (rarely the case), so this works great. To their credit they called at 2:00 in the afternoon. About the only ones that are blocked and shouldn't be are people who, for some unknown reason, block their home phone number. We have been on state and federal do-not-call lists for years… and reregister regularly, so nearly any call that is blocked is a scam. If a legitimate business calls again after being asked to stop they are subject to a fine of $16,000.00.
