This was a robo-call (strike 1), calling to lower my PPL electric rates (strike 2 - I don't have PPL) calling randomly in total violation of the National Do-Not-Call Registry (strike 3). I "pressed 1" to talk to a human and got a heavily-accented man. I expressed interest, gave him a bogus PPL 10-digit number, then sat back for the ride. 21 minutes later, I notified them that they have had their time WASTED because they are violating the NDNCR, and that this is the way that a lot of us are fighting back. Since this was a "recorded call", I asked them to pass the recording up the line to whoever in their sales department (oh yeah - Liberty Power in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla, 866-769-3799. Give them a call and ask if anyone there can supply you with their official policy on the NDNCR...) decided how to get sales leads.
