I got the same call on 11/23/10 from "Special Agent William Rice". He was very threatening on the phone and caught me off guard. Told me i had 2 warrants for my arrest and that i would be taken into federal custody until my hearing on 12/8/10. I should get a lawyer or pay a fine to have this "taken care of" I was in a panic and didn't even think to call anyone to see if this was real. This jerk even told me the name of the judge who signed off on my court date (Peter Franco). Like a nut i got 4500.00 from the bank and had it sent to Edison Joseph, which in turn lead to another phone call from "Lt william Givens" about how "Rice is nothing but trouble and he has to document the incident, blah blah blah. This jerk proceeded to tell me that the 2nd warrant would need to be dealt with to the tune of 3500.00 to be sent to Franklin Hernandez and someone named Guzman. While all this nonsense went on, an "Eric Morales" from internal affairs kept calling me for weeks telling me that they were doing an evestigation on this Givens character. This guy is relentless, and also goes by the name Frank Diaz from Homeland Security. By the time all this was over they managed to extort 11,000.00 outta me!! My father who is a former cop called the local DEA office and we spoke to a real DEA agent. I have lost just about all of my money to these loosers and they still call posing as US Customs agents, Homeland Security, ect. Last week, Morales called and started to threaten me when i said that he is a real [***]. I always thought i was smart to stuff like this coming from a family of cops, but the scare tactic and the keywords tossed me. I reported the entire situation and saved my voice mails on my cell phone to the real DEA and am now working with them by telling my story. As for my financial situation, i am on disability but will now have to return to work so i do not lose everything that i have worked so hard for. Take it from me; if the DEA wants you, the won't call you to let you know, they just show up. Report these jerks for what they are to the real DEA and maybe one of them may actually be caught.

I received this same call this evening.  So thankful for these posts. This man, Sargent William Rice or Special agent William Rice per voicemail, left a message asking me to return his call ASAP.  I called back right away, it went right to a recording and I left a voicemail.  Sargent Rice called back seconds later. He told me I had until tomorrow morning to deposit $4500 in an account to Carman Luna DEA  in the Dominican Republic.  It sounded true!  He knew personal information about me. Said I could pay the fine and he would fax me an agreement that all charges were successfully dropped.  If I don't pay the fine by tomorrow at 11:00 my court date would be set for October 17th at 333 Constitution Avenue Washington, DC.  He gave me 2 numbers 571-522-0205 and 202-241-8927.  What a jerk!  I can see people falling for this but knew I hadn't done anything wrong.  I hung up from him and called back and left yet another voicemail.  I told him I needed the DEA's phone number so my attorney could follow up in the morning before sending the wire transfer (knowing I wouldn't be sending him any money).  He said he needed to call the DEA first before giving me that classified information.  I haven't heard back from him several hours later.  Watch OUT!!!  This guy is smooth and has obviously been at it a long time!  I will report it first thing in the morning.!!

This happened to me over a year ago.   I am so disappointed that this continues to happen.   This SOB Rice/whatever his name is called me and it was during the time my mother was going through chemo.   I didn't have the money to pay them and my poor mother, weakened from the chemo, went to the bank with me to get the 3500 they asked for.   She was so upset and scared I would be arrested.  I am so thankful I called a friend in law enforcement and he called them.  He knew it was a scam immediately as he knew the real DEA doesn't have lieutenants.

My mother has since passed and when I think about the distress they caused to her it makes me so angry.   Please, to all victims, let's not rest until we aggravate enough government agencies that they find a way to stop these horrible men.  Also we have to keep calling Magic Jack, Western Union, Chase and MAKE THEM DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE CRIMINALS.   They are evidently making a good living off this scam.

PLEASE JOIN ME IN CALLING THESE NUMBERS AND KEEPING THESE SOBs SO BUSY WITH OUR CALLS THAT THEY CANNOT VICTIMIZE OTHERS!    IT IS MY MISSION IN LIFE TO STALK THEM UNMERCIFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    JOIN ME PLEASE!   CAN U IMAGINE IF EVERYBODY THEY HAVE VICTIMIZED BANDED TOGETHER AND CALLED THEM EVERY DAY???????????????       LET'S DO IT!     HELP ME TO GIVE THEM  BACK A LITTLE MISERY!   THAT'S ABOUT ALL WE CAN DO RIGHT NOW!

Are they still using Western Union?     I just cannot believe Western Union is still allowing this.   Maybe we all need to hire an attorney for a class action suit against Western Union and Magic Jack.   Betcha they would be motivated to stop this [***] then.

I received a call from the same agent at 202 241-8927.  Same story but he said if I paid $3500 fine I would get off.  He said to have my attorney call him.  I was afraid.  ThenI called my congressman, and the local DEA.  They said it was a scam.
