Getting a lot of calls lately from 408 area code - which is where I live.  Comes up "Cell" and since I have family, I'm never sure if it's one of my kids using a friend's cell.  So I pick up.  
This time it was a man with a thick southern drawl, so at least I could understand him.... general contractor, kitchen, bath, whatever.  Said at the beginning:  "I don't want to waste your time or my time, we've just had a re-model of our kitchen and bathrooms so we're not interested, thanks."  (We really did, and I like to start with a polite decorum...).  
He then says "well if there's anything else on the inside or outside you might consider?"  
Me:  "no".  
Him: "You know if you remodel your kitchen or bath, the payback is 2 to 3 times what you put in to it, would you be interested in that?"  
Me: "Well, that shows you aren't listening, we just had our kitchen and bathrooms re-done, I'm really not interested, so I'm going to hang up now....."  
He's able to throw in a "God Bless" - well, OK then....
GEEEEZ!  They are now added to the ever growing "blocked" list I have on my phone.  ID SAYS from Gilroy/Los Gatos/Morgan Hill, but they're from a calling center elsewhere.  

I've had perhaps a dozen calls from this number...Generally, [***] soon as I say "hello"...the phone clicks and goes dead...there have been two instances when it was a query about general contractor availability and I'm always polite and then hang up...

I live in the same area as this call too. I thought it might be an important call. Nope. Just another dead call because I didn't answer in time (they call multiple people at once and the "lucky" one that picks up first gets the sales pitch). Anyway, I just blocked this idiot. They'll get a message that my phone is disconnected the next time they try to call, but I'm sure they already shared their list of numbers with someone else and this series of calls will keep on going. And I'll keep blocking them.

Got a call from this number.  Said he was a general contractor.   Asked to be taken off the calling list and informed him that I do report people who don't take that action.  At that point, he became rude and insulting!!!
