Called ring, did not answer, Spam

They called and i answered. i politely said hello and asked who it was and i had no response so i said hello again and the call ended. it was seriously annoying because there was no point of the stupid call and i have no idea who they were or what they wanted.

You gave them what they wanted, a number with any kind of answer. This way they can pass it along to other pests and they can call you also. Live numbers and email addresses are as good as gold to spammers. Ones that have no kind of answer find their way to their do not call lists with time.
