Have had these people call before and never had anything bad happen to me. The caller generally has a heavy, I believe Indian, accent and is almost unintelligible on the answering machine message. I am also told that if they don't hear from me or my attorney, that they wish me luck. They might need the luck after a number of complaints against them. If they call again, I may file a complaint with the FCC. I would guess they're using phone records and the Internet to find various public records to find their next victim. Amazing that nobody can put these people out of business or in jail. Have also thought of the possibility of an overseas scam being routed through a US phone number in California. Hard to tell but I just ignore them.
