Got a call form 408-560-0339 today.  Called back, it said American Solar Co.
Blocked.

I'm on the federal do-not-call list and they called me anyway.  Claimed to be from an energy company that, "going to show me how to save money on my energy bill".

Called about "your PG & E bill."  I'm on Do Not Call List

They left no message. My # is also on Do Not Call Registry, but I now know that it is niaive to believe that system has any teeth to do anything about nuisance calls. I don't know what's worse; getting the calls or having to see an inappropriate ad for "NaughtyDate" on 800notes.com while trying to add my comments.

The DNC isn't a call blocker and can not protect you from the illegal callers, extortion scammers, foreign country's and frauds. Criminals do not obey laws simply said.    They use spoofed numbers which make it hard to track them down.. it takes time to do this and many subpoenas for call.

Do a search on call blocking devices and phones.If its a cell phone, there are free call blocking apps out there including trac & straight talk.
