I received a call from this number in two succession. Both of them I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the numbers. I also have a cox hi-speed internet that I like but dropped the cable and phone services. I use off the air antenna for hd tv because I noticed that cox cable, although digital, has a detail loss due to too many channels being squeezed in in a limited bandwith, consequently lossing hd fidelity. On the telephone, however, since I need a land line for 911 usage, (a working cell phone with no subscription will do the same as 911 will go through whether you have wireless subscription on not), I just used MagicJack for fraction of a cost of cox telephone service although they are both using the same system, voice over the internet, that you already get automatically with internet service (Cox just want you to pay twice for the same thing.). The good thing about the MagicJack is it has a caller ID. And in this instance, I get the annoying number and search it over the internet for website like this. Once I've identified that the call is a spam, I just block the number on the MagicJack and that was the end of that annoying phone calls. Although it still rings once every received call from the annoying number before the block feature kicks in, I just LOL knowing they've been outsmarted. Cox will not do anything to stop their telemarketers. I've effectively limited these type of calls in this manner and I just continued with my slumber since I'm usually sleeping when these calls come in. If the call is legit, they will leave a message anyway. Sorry for the verbose, I hope it helps.
