Called, but like so many others, left no message.

Same here.  Got called by this number a couple of times in the last week.  Never left a message.  Called back one time and got what sounded like a FAX/modem line.  Another time it rang 10 times before I hung up.

scammer faking a santa clara number.  the caller id on my phone said it was mccormackheath, but really, we know it's a fake.

This call came from someone named Heather Mcormack stating she was from from a contractor company.  I assume it is McCormack construction. She was rude. Only makes me never to want to use this company.
