Received a call, when I tried to immediately call back since no message was left, got a busy signal.

called and didn't leave a message. It's getting old. I blocked the number through my cell service. It's happening to me more and more. I filled out 1 online thing and they must have sold the list. It's everyday I get some type of sales call or loan application from some foreign person who barely speaks english. I just keep blocking the calls. My phone doesn't even ring just shows that they called on my list.

This number called. I have unknown numbers put on hold. Called it back, got busy signal. Called it ten minutes later and recording said "this number no longer in service". I Called it later and busy signal. I think it may be a phishing number. Reported it to do not call registry.

The Do Not Call list works for legitimate businesses.  The problem is that these scammers are not legitimate businesses, don't care about the Do Not Call List and are probably not actually calling from the number that shows on your caller ID, making it extremely hard for authorities to track them down and prosecute them.  They also don't care that they are not supposed to be telemarketing to cell phones.  I also do not answer calls from numbers I don't recognize and if they don't leave a voice mail and/or show up on one of these lists as a telemarketer/scammer, I add them to a SPAM contact on my phone.  They rarely use the same number twice but occasionally SPAM comes up on my caller ID and I can just ignore it.
