Process server scam. People suing you don't like to warn you before serving you -- that defeats the point, as serving papers costs money, warning you gives you a chance to avoid being around when the person shows up at your door, and having to repeat the attempt costs THEM money.
I've been getting these calls for over 2 years now from dozens of phone numbers and still no serving of papers. lol
Recently they left this message:
"Hello this is the serving division of United Process Service in regards to a formal complaint that requires your immediate attention. I have documents that are scheduled to be delivered to your home and/or place of employment. It is imperative that you contact the firm here on your file at 1-877-479-3789 and thank you and have a good day."
