Got a text message from number claiming monthly winner of BestBuy gift card ($1000). I called the number and voice mail had not been set up. Figured i had just made a mistake by calling, because my number is now on their caller id and confirmed as actual number. Obvious thing to do is just report and delete these things.

Ditto.  I called Best Buy customer service.  They confirmed it is definitely a scam.  I gave them the number the text came from and when I received it.  It will be reported by Best Buy as a scam.  Dang!!  I was ready to go spend some bucks!
