I tracked down the owner of CHJ Group in Florida.  He's a nice real estate agent who had no idea his name was being used.  I'm not sure where to go from here, but I thought I'd put it out there that the real CHJ group is a nice company.

Funny, no one is pretending, Doing a domain trace the emails are coming directly from CHJgroup.com so there is no pretending, who ever owns CHJgroup.com is actually sending these text messages. It may or may not be related to any company in Florida. But honestly If I were running a campaign like this I would not be in the same state I was texting.

Keeps texting me repeatedly. They need to stop immediately.

I tracked down the registry information of chjgroup.com.  It was recently registered.  Its name servers resolve to itself- making it difficult to pin down who hosts the domain.

So . . I did a tracert to see which servers I'd bounce off of.

The server seems to be hosted in San Salvador, El Salvador, by a company called GNAX.  I have filed an abuse ticket with them in an attempt to shut these folks down.

Here's hoping that the investigator on their end will help us!

The poor guy at CHJ Group had no idea.  The domain was only recently registered-- and they've been in business selling real estate for a long time.

So, the people doing home adjustments for insurance companies definitely aren't related.  

I only did this because a few years ago . . somebody spoofed my telephone number and called thousands of people with MY # in caller ID.  I was mortified!  I ended up having to change my phone number. . . So now-- I try to track these guys down when I can.
