Yesterday I received a call from this # and when I listened back to the message, all I heard was 'Press it now', no voice, nothing. I live in Canada, and want to know who this company/person is?

they called my home at 8:48 in the AM! Thats illegal!
I live in Canada also and this # seems to be from Florida yet some places say its a payphone or a telemarketing number. I am curious how all these american companies are getting my number when it's not even listed and it's on a DNC list.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE DNC. Telemarketers pay for number they know they can call (ie a phonebook or open resource. They also get the DNC list available to them in order to remove numbers yet somewhere along the lines they USE those numbers, sell them, whatever.
DO NOT TRUST THE DNC!!!

I just got a call and dialed 9 to find out who it was and a guy answered on a cell phone (!) and asked for my code number. I said I wanted to know what company he was with and he hung up. Sounds really up and up........ BLOCKED and REPORTED.

Same thing. I got a recording saying to press '9'. I'm in Saskatchewan (Canada) and I've also subscribed to the Do Not Call list.
