Its the INDIAN accent fraud/scam people trying to act like a law firm. Dont fall for this scam, all they did was change their number, they have been using the magic jack to make phone calls. They have your information and want to scare you in beliving that if you pay a amount of money the charges will be dropped. There are no charges againt anyone. They dont record their phone calls all they record is when you give them authorization in withdrawing money. They will tell you that the call is being recorded but its not, they will get mad, insult, and harrass you if you keep this going. There is no stooping them. Just hang up pr harras them back, thats what i am doing.

I just got off the phone with them - Indian accent with names like Andy Hunt and Daniel Cooper- who are these people.  They are threatening to call my employer.  I just hung up.

Yep - it's an annoying collector that will call 3-4 times in a row.  Block the number ASAP

How do you block the number

Your phone company probably offers something called Selective Call Rejection (*60 Activation, *80 Deactivation) that allows you to block a limited number of calling numbers but this may not be very useful because your caller is probably spoofing his number and they can change their calling number anytime. Selective Call Acceptance (*64 Activation, *84 Deactivation) may work better because it blocks all incoming numbers except for the ones you whitelist but I think the whitelist is kind of short so this won't work well if you have a lot of friends.
