Got a text message. Wanted to by my $500 truck. The number is from Florida, I'm from Canada

Texted me wanting to buy my $3500 dollar Econoline van. This is the text:
"Hi mate is your listed Truck on Kijiji still valid for purchase,need your respond through my private email johnmorgan244@outlook.com with your final asking price"
I live in Canada, not Florida.

Got the same message about a vehicle ad I placed. Funny how they can text me , but want me to respond via e-mail. Must be a phishing scam of some sort.

Just got the same test message regarding my truck for sale exact same text as Marlin's.
I knew right away it was a scam by the area code, why would someone from Florida want to puchase
a vehicle here in Canada when they could get it cheaper there? Must think I'm an idiot!
