Scammer from craigslist. They included the title of my ad, then said, "Text me on my personal line 407 307 2251. I have interest in your AD. Text only, Rick.

Knowing it was a scam already, but still curious, I text that number and this is what it said.
"My name is Rick Smith. I am buying this as a surprise, I work with Turner Construction, we are currently working at a very rural area which makes it very hard for me to make phone calls. I have a mover who will come for the pickup, I will be making the payment via PayPal that is the only payment option. I have some questions for you; Are you the first owner of it? Where do you live? Does it have anything negative I should know about?"

Clearly a scam. Can't call, has a mover, only payment option is Paypal..

Received Similar TXT!

Just got the same text as well about some furniture I put on Craigslist. Text came from 402-870-4724 which is a local number but text came the same thing as listed below - to text personal line 4078704724. Did not reply back. I have been fooled once - won't happen again.

I also received the text from Rick but from 402-500-2172 and he wanted me to text my lowest price to 407-307-2251. Sent back a text asking for his location. No response. Thanks for the other warnings about this guy.

received exact same message from Rick
