he got verbally abusive
i said that he is calling a 1900 number and for every 30 sec he keeps me on the line it is being recorded and he is getting charged 699
he started to swear and hung up

Recorded message saying they were from card member services & said I was eligible to reduce my credit card interest rate, when they said press 9 to speak with someone I hung up

Caller ID "Name Not Found". After waiting a length of time, 3-4 minutes, the recording will advised to press "9" to talk to an agent to lower your credit card interest.  I pressed "9" and it went immediately to a male agent.  He then asked for my name.  I advised him of my first name only.  He then asked for my last name.  I stated that I wasn't ready to do that.  The he stated, "Why did you press "9". I stated, You are wasting my time, so now I'm wasting your time.  He then got rude and we both exchanged a few more rude comments.  To get to these people, Don't hang up.  You are doing them a favor if you hang up, they will just go to the next computer generated call.  Keep them on the line, they are calling you with their dime.

I stated, You wasted my time, so I'm wasting your time.  He then got rude and we both exchanged a few more rude comments.  To get to these people, Don't hang up.  You are doing them a favor and they go to the next computer generated call.  Keep them on the line, they are calling you with their dime.
