Received three texts from this number over a matter of a few minutes - two in German - regarding a Google recovery code.

Google Text .. about account recovery with Code.

I received a text from 406-545-4963 that said:

Your Google Account recovery code is 6139145 (includes a hyperlink).  If you did not request this code, you can safely ignore this message.

Parenthesis are mine.

I also received a text from 406-545-4963 that said:

O codigo de recuperacao da sua conta do google: 7233292 (link) Caso nao tenha solicitado esse codigo, ignore esta mensagem.

I assume the language is Portuguese, it appears to mean the same as the rest of the messages. I sent a reply text but got no response. My last name is somewhat common in Brazil, but I am from America and do not speak that language....

Seems shady.......

I got a message from this number in polish.  Like others, it was regarding a google recovery code.  My name is Polish, so I guess this scam assumed it would be best to send the message in my native language.

I'm not sure how it's supposed to phish any info.  Perhaps you can enter the code in google and it somehow allows access to your google account.

I wouldn't replay or act on the message.  I do wonder if they somehow know that I have a google account or they're just blanketing everyone.
