Someone called from this number saying they were calling on behalf of the Breast Cancer Society. Asked if I would make a donation of 40.00, 25.00 or 20.00. Said they would send a pledge card then transfered me to another person who wanted me to be pay by credit or debit card. When I said that they other person said they would send a pledge card they said we are trying to avoid mailing expenses, I said I would rather pay with the pledge card, they did said they would send the card. I have my landline on the donotcall list but people call me all the time. Very upsetting.

Caller asked for the lady of the house.  Then asked for her by name (from an old phone book listing I suppose), then said I would do just as well.  She (the caller) then began reading from a script (obviously) about making a donation via a pledge card.  After me saying no twice she persisted in pushing for money and I hung up.

The exact same happened to me. Verbatim.

American Cancer Society is the real name not Breast Cancer Center. This is most likely a scam . Would advise not picking up the phone and ignore this call.
