This is all very interesting.  I got a new phone line hooked up yesterday for my fax machine.  I have already gotten two calls from this number on my new line since yesterday.

Keep getting calls from these people. I don 't answer their calls because I figure it is just another scam call. Sick and tired of all of the scammers.  Guess their is nothing else to do but ignore them as best I can.

These idiots call me at 9:25 on A SUNDAY MORNING---Caller ID says Procedures.  I knew from the area code it was another one of these credit card scammer numbers.  They rang the phone atleast 10 times before they finally hung up.  I report every call to the DO NOT CALL which this number has been on since the begining .  They just called again 15 minutes later than the first time.  I gave them a THIS NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED MESSAGE....

Got a call this a.m.  The ID said it was Bozeman MT, 406-219-2525.  I don't answer unfamiliar phone numbers.  They never left a message.  Here's another one for my call block system....just wish it would hold triple the numbers.   I've never seen so many solicitors calling as there are now. The DNC list is a joke.......we're on that list too.

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

I received a call from this number - 406-219-2525 - on July 23, 2011.  My Caller ID displayed the letters "PROCEDURES" and the telephone number.  It is likely a fake telephone number but that does not matter.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call such as this one I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  It doesn't matter if it is a fake number or not.  I provide the date, time of the call, what Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one.  I have decided to let the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.  Complaining at this website, other than identifying the caller and letting others know they are not unique, does little to stop the calls.

If more people would complain to the FTC and not just complain on this forum, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one complaint alone.  It takes many complaints before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.
