I pressed "0" and when a non-English speaking person answered, I asked to be on their no-call list.
He hung up on me.

It doesn't matter if you ask to be put on the do not call list...they call repeatedly and always hang up on the answering machine...or if you answer, and ask for a company name, they hang up then. Sucks.

a friend of mind always answers these calls. He asks all kinds of questions and wants things explained to him in full. He keeps them on the phone as long as possible, then says, "sorry, not interested" and hangs up.

IF YOU HAVE VERIZON FIOS FROM THE COMPUTER YOU CAN CALL BLOCK ALL NUMBERS. ONLY THE NUMBERS YOU PROGRAM INTO YOUR ACCOUNT CAN COME THROUGH. LOVE IT. MINE IS ON NOW AND ONLY THE NUMBERS I PROGRAM IN COME THRU.AND YOU CAN GO TO YOUR CALL LOG AND STILL SEE ALL THE JERKS THAT TRY TO CALL YOU BUT THE CALLS DONT COME THRU. THEY JUST HEAR A MESSAGE THAT SAYS THE PERSON YOU ARE TRYING TO CALL IS NOT TAKING CALLS AT THIS TIME. HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT THEY CAN CALL ME 100 TIMES A DAY AND MY PHONE NEVER EVEN RINGS.

This company calls me every day without leaving messages. Annoying. My number is on the DNC list and will add this to my call blocking. Never pick uo the phone.
