It's the Red Cross

I have received a call from this number several times now and no one speaks on the other line. The last time I received a call, someone put me on hold. This is unprofessional, inconvenient and rude. I work from home and receiving calls like this is unacceptable. Please DO NOT call my number again. I am a blood donor and also donate to many charities. Not sure why someone would continue to call and waste my time.

It's a scammer attempting to steal your blood.

I contacted American Red Cross Blood Services about these calls - I have received over 100 calls from this number.  They responded professionally, courteously, and appropriately, confirming that: this is indeed one of their numbers, that they do not pull numbers from a phone book or purchased lists, and they use only numbers that donors have provided to them.  They said that if you do not wish to receive calls from them, please contact them at 1-855-210-1278 or at customercare@redcross.org and ask to have your number removed from their list.
