I recieved a call from this number it is William & Scott Associates, who claim to be a lawyer. They called me 3 times well I wasn't home and left a message they had an investigation going on and needed me to contact them ASAP. Well I did and got a machine, but they called again and I was home to answer. They state they are lawyers and a lawsuit is being filed with them for a debt I owed 10 years ago. Stated they red flagged me and I will be sued unless I paid the amount which was 4 times the orginal amount today in full by credit card. They stated they knew everything about me, well if they knew everything about me they know I don't own a credit card. I asked why they didn't contact me by mail, no reply just that I owed. So I asked for an adress to get a P.O.Box # with the city of Norcross in Ga. I asked for a street adress and was told once again the P.O.Box. They told me they had my credit report infront of me, then they should of seen the words "Balance owed zero" and "written off". So I told them I would call them back at their 1-888-229-5566 number. I went on line and found they are a collection agency not a lawyers office. So I called the 888 # and told them they lied and they are frauding. I was told "You owe this money written off or not we will take half over the phone by credit card all we need is your card number". So I gave them a number 1-888-go2, and hung up.

I got a phone call From AAron Fleminster from the Law offices William & Scott Associates. I don't think they are Lawyers ... They said I will go to jail for 5 years for a check I am sure cleared my bank. Also they said there was a case filed with the state of California. I was definitly going to be charged and locked up.... 888-229-5566. Thanks for your post

I received a call from Mark Williams today regarding a friend who I haven't talked to in 10 years. He did not sound like a lawyer at all, just a really bad collector who doesn't really know what he's doing. He could have been doing actual work instead of harrassing me and demanding I get in contact with someone that I don't even know how to get in contact with anymore. And even if I did know how to get in contact with her, I wouldn't even want to after the way he talked to me on the phone.

My elderly mother got a harrassing call from a Bland Mitchell ext 109 from William Scott and Associates looking for my exhusband who I divorced about 14 years ago. The party identified himself as a lawyer and kept pressuring my mom to give up information about her former son-in-law. She told him repeatedly that she didnt know where he was and to "get in line with everyone else who is looking for him". Why would they call the former mother in law who is elderly to harrass her???

My husband received a call on his phone from a lady, cant remember name but her extension was 119 needless to say his calls were being forwarded to my phone because he was out of town. she said she was an investigator looking into allegations made against him in Jefferson county which is the county we live in. It scared me to death so i returned her call and she is trying to collect on a fraudelent check she claimed he wrote. I then ivestigated the issue and found out that she is a bill collector and the original debt was written off from a few years and they are the 3rd collections agency that has taken over that account. The tactics this used was unbelievable and rude.
