B L O C K E D -- yes, another scam from thieves saying they are raising $$ for the Fraternal Order of Police -- MAKE SURE YOU ASK THEM HOW MUCH OF YOUR DONATION WILL GO TO THE POLICE !  They are required to reveal it -- they usually say something like 'upwards of 10 percent of your donation will go to the Police"...... in other words, THEY KEEP 90% OF YOUR DONATION !! Yes, they are raising money -- but they're also Keeping 90% of it --- so if you want to donate -- DO IT DIRECTLY TO THE POLICE -- not to these shysters !.   I always ask these "charities" what their rating is on Charity Navigator (if they don't know, they are NOT legit), and how much goes DIRECTLY to the charity -- IF IT IS LESS THAN 90 % THAT GOES TO THE CHARITY -- I GIVE NOTHING TO THEM !  Would advise others to use similar questions to determine your gift giving.  These people make a fortune off the good will of people, who think they are helping others, but in fact, they are lining the pockets of unscrupulous bottom feeders......

Yet ANOTHER supposed Fraternal Order of Police solicitation. I have in my records exactly 11 other numbers that have called for solicitation for this organization. Supposedly. Must be a very lucrative scam. (Their call was intercepted by a service I signed up for that does that for calls that have been dialed automatically, by robot, but I called back using my cell with my name turned off and that's when I learned what the call had been about, as I hung up on him in the middle of his script.) I will identify it as a Non-profit, but it is one that might give 5-10% to some police somewhere. Maybe.

Tried a search here http://law.ga.gov/charities for Georgia Fraternal Order of Police and Georgia State FOP and it showed nothing. They do have a website http://www.georgiafop.org/contact-us/ that shows no contact info, imagine that? But you sure can donate! There is nothing on their website that shows what corrupt telemaggoting organization is making the calls and there is nothing showing how the telescammers take 90% of all donations. As with all telemaggoters and telescammers ask the name of fundraiser, do not donate when called and demand placement on their internal do not call list.
