Long history of scam artistry on 800notes. Endless complaints about threats of jail and fraud and a lot of other meaningless legal mumbo-jumbo and false and misleading statements by phone basically meant to scare you into paying them something. Ignore them and block their calls. If they have a valid debt then they are supposed to send you a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good. Of course, like all debt scammers they won't do this. No letter, no money. Phone calls are not legal notification of anything.
