Said there was check fraud filed against me in my county. This last a final notice. Me or my lawyer needed to contact them at this number. Humbug.

Left message during the noon hour.  Somehow, since I'm in the middle of law enforcement, I'd probably know about it by now.  Subfunctional [***] fishing for a chance at identity theft.

I received a call from a man stating that he was with the Check Fraud Division and that this was a final attempt to reach me regarding charges that had been filed against me.  I don't know anything about this, plus I don't write any checks.  Checked the internet and, wow, low and behold it turns out to be another scam... someone trying to get money from me ILLEGALLY.  Do these idiots not realize they are breaking the law by pretending to be law enforcement officials and they're not.  Guess not!

Some guy left a message saying this is the fraud division of Wall Street Credit and that one of our family members is involved in an account deposit fraud/theft by deception.......and that this was a final attempt to reach me regarding charges that had been filed against me or a family member.  We don't write checks and have excellent credit....no financial issues.......this must be phishing call...the number left on the answer machine message was 404-334-3196.......but the caller ID identified the number as 225-239-2828.........hummmm
