I received several phone calls from 404-260-4469. A representative stated that I had applied for auto financing with Morrie's Mazda and LendingTree and that my personal credit information had been sold to Car.com.
I spoke with one representative who was extremely rude and hung up on me when I asked to be removed from their solicitation list. I called back to confirm that I had been removed and spoke with someone who told me her name was Shanika Jaudon and that her supervisor's name was Jamison Pinard. Shainka told me that she was located in Atlanta, but that she did not know where Jamison was located. I asked if she had a physical business mailing address for her employer, which she said she didn't know. I asked if she knew what address she was calling me from, and she refused that information.
The Car.com website indicates that the business is run by Autobytel in Irvine, California. I asked Shaniqua if she was affiliated with Autobytel and she told me she was not.
Something very shady feeling about these calls...
