I just viewed my credit report and there was a listing for negative credit from Credit Rating Bureau, with the phone number 404-252-9559.
I gave them the account number listed on my credit report and they still didn't know who I was. They must outsource their phone service because the person I spoke with had a very thick middle eastern accent. Even with the account number they needed my name to verify, with that I was told I lived at a different address. I informed them that was not my address, then they wanted some more information which I did not give. They then asked if xyz was my address, "NO" then if abc was my address which it was.
After asking the customer service person to repeat what he was saying several times I was informed that I was sent to collection before the 2nd notice was sent out. I mentioned that the bill was paid 6 days after receiving the 2nd notice but they said they coudl not help, once it was reported it can not be changed.
I tried to discuss the timeline and make them see that they jumped the gun on reporting my but was abruptly transfered to "the person handling my account" which turned out to be a voice mail. I left my name and number so we shall see if "the person handling my account" calls me back.
I'm tired on companies offering poor customer service, incompetent workers and not being held liable for mistakes.
