We are a local non-profit in a small town in TN. Caller with heavy accent said she'd like to make a donation using American Express. I asked how she found out about us. She said a friend told her. I asked the friend's name (we know most of our donors), and after long pause, she said "Sophie." I asked her last name so we could thank her. There was a pause, and then she hung up.

Woman with heavy spanish accent called and asked if we accept AMEX. I said "no". She asked if we accepted other cards. I said "We accept Visa and Mastercard". She said "Thank you" and hung up. We don't really have anyone in Georgia we are doing business with and we are in Florida. I came across this site when searching the number on google.

I should have Googled the number right away when I got the call. Heavy accented man, rude and asked if this was XXX company ... which I say the name when I answer our phones. I said how can I help you, he said is this xxx company, I said who is calling and he said no, I just want to know if this is xxx company, I said why do you need that information, he said I need to pay my bill, I asked for his company name, he said no, I said what is your invoice # he said no, I am trying to find out if you take American Express, I said I am trying to help you but you need to give me your invoice #, he said NO, and the conversation stayed the same, they were fishing for something. I said yes we take AX but there is a merchant service fee and he said thank you and hung up. Wonder what scheme they are running?????

Business located in Birmingham. Heavy accented man called. Ask if we took Amex. I repeated his question to make sure I understood, then I ask him, do you have business with us? He said yes and hung up.
