These folks have called many times saying they are calling on behalf of Verizon.  They eventually ask a SSN.

Caller called saying she was from Verizon and wanted to lower my bill?  Asked how much was my phone bill?  When I asked if she were from "Verizon" why didn't she know.  She claimed she didn't have authority to retrieve that information.  I called and reported this to Verizon and that confirmed this was an absolute bogus call.  BEWARE THIS IS A FRAUD!!!!  GIVE NO INFORMATION!!!
