Yippee, David the Deadbeat's account has passed to yet another collection agency. Message was left from someone claiming to be with AmEx looking for David the Deadbeat. We do not know David the Deadbeat. We had never heard of David the Deadbeat until we started receiving collection agency calls for him about two years ago. We have received calls and messages from several different collection agencies for David the Deadbeat, and once even a pleading message from one of his relatives also sick of being hounded for David the Deadbeat's debt! It's especially aggravating as he has given these debt collectors our home telephone number that we have had for a decade. We use caller ID and have not answered any of the calls from David the Deadbeat's legions of creditors. We occasionally get a quiet break of a few weeks. But, his debts always end up sold to yet another collection agency, and the calls start all over again. We have received over 1,000 calls for David the Deadbeat in the past two years--up to six calls a day from his creditors. David the Deadbeat must owe a LOT of money for these collection agencies to keep calling after over 1,000 no answers. David the Deadbeat should pay our phone bill, since our number gets more calls for him than us! You'd think that the collection agencies would give up on calling this number since it isn't producing any result$$$$. Registering for Do Not Call is apparently a waste of time. Filing Do Not Call violation complaints is obviously a waste of time. The FTC can't keep up with these debt collection agencies and their calling techniques and tactics.
