Got a call from this number.  No name, just Omaha, NE in the caller ID.  I too have companies out marking my front yard.  Plus, the caller did not leave a voice mail.  You'd think CenturyLink would have their name in the caller ID spot but then again Cox Cable calls you with an 800 number with no ID information.  Don't they know we don't answer calls from numbers we do not know.  Not a good way to do business.

I had just used the Colorado 811 service, to have them locate utility lines so I wouldn't dig in the wrong spot.  After the guy came out to spray paint the locations of the lines, I got a call from this number "Centurylink" to confirm the locates had been completed.
