6/03/15  12:47 PDT  Don't understand why I seem to be the first in the endless list of scam reporters.  This one came in while I was out and is another "free" medical alert scam recording.  Will report to no mo since it is an obvious robotic call.

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has just ruled that the telephone companies can and should provide free blockers within their systems to block these scammers and con artists.

There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to the phone companies—responsible for these phone calls—to offer free scam blockers.

The telephone companies are dragging their feet. They do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone Robocalls to consumers.

Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.

Also, contact your Congressman. Congress should address this issue since it is a federal problem.
