I got a call from this number saying I won a security system. But, they went on to explain that my mother had "given" it to me by passing it up herself.  They claimed to be Monotronics Home Security System by General Electric. They explained that they do their advertising by word of mouth instead of spending money on traditional methods.  When I asked them to mail me information they failed to think to ask for my address until after they attempted to end the call.  Then, they abruptly came back and asked for it stating that they already had my mother's address.  I didn't give my info but instead asked for their address or phone number so I could contact them.  They ended the call without giving their info.  I hear often that if a company is unwilling to mail information they probably are not legitimate.

Got a phone call from them saying that I won a security system.. I said i wasn't interested. I don't know if its true but It sounded very interesting.
