Threatening directive to push one to stay connected or if I hang up the case on my vehicle will be closed....very confusing and also authoritative tone as if a governmental or offical body. I stayed on hold from being caller 21, and then a voice came on asking for my make and model of my vehicle. I asked who is calling and what is this for, and they hung up.

It seems this number is being used as a scapegoat.

I do not answer phone calls that I don't recognize the phone number so I didn't answer for 386-447-4875 today.

"We can lower the interest rates on all your credit cards".  Claimed they were associated with Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover and would lower the rates on all the cards.  Claimed I needed to have a card with over 10% interest and over $3,000.00 in total credit card debt.  SHe said she would lower the interest rate on all my cards, I asked how she could do that and she went back to a script that kept asking for detailed information on the interest rats I pay and the amount I owe on credit cards.  When I got to the place where she was not giving any more information and just repeating the request for my specific information, I asked what company she worked for and she hung up.  As noted above, calling the number in Caller ID back got a disconected number message.

An automated recording started to say "Please don't be alarmed, but this is your final Notice for ..."  - and I hung up.

The best solution I've found for these jerks is a caller ID manager, where you can block calls so you don't even hear them ring next time. I'm not selling them, I'm just a customer, but I use this one:  http://www.person-to-person.net/
