Same here, first I received a sms with a verification code and a link to verify my phone, which I obviously didn't open since I hadn't done any action that would require this kind of verification.
A few hours later I received 3 calls from this number from Florida. I didn't pick up. As somebody said before, it's a scam. I'm from Spain.

I just got a txt from "whatsApp", and I never asked for the app, nor does my phone have internet...whats up with that? any one know?

I got a txt from whatsapp, but it didn't show a real phone number, it showed as it was from 47543...what kinda number is that?

I got a txt from an unknown company, called WhatsApp, the phone number never showed, just the number that said, from 47543. I don't know this app, never down loaded it, didn't know it ever existed...but I don't have internet on my phone either...so, I'm a bit confused!!
