The last two weeks I have spent trying to stay connected to this guy becuase I thought he was local and buying my couches, turns out hes lives on the other side of the US and gave me the same information. Very precise info on how to write out the money orders and what not. My Fiance and I thought it was fishy that he'd pay 1800 dollars to ship two crap 50 dollars worth couches soi googled his email address and found this! Thank god!! thisis the information he used on me his email address: eddy00eddy@aol.com and phone number: 1580-540-7359. his email said something like this:

Hello,
Payment for the Couch (Money Order) has been sent to you and will be delivered today. As soon as you receive the package, I would like you to follow the payment process accordingly so we can schedule a pick-up over the weekend.

===HOW TO FILL THE MONEY ORDER===
The Money Order has 2 sections
The 1st section {writes pay to}.....in this space you are to fill in your full names and address.
The 2nd section {writes from}.....in this space you are to fill in my name and address:

Addy: 1901 N Walnut Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73105

The package contains 2 pieces of $950 M/O. After filling the M/O's carefully, you take them to your bank and get them cashed. You then deduct the exact amount for your Couch, plus $50 inconvenience/transportation fee, you then go to the closest Western Union outlet to you and send the remaining funds to the Driver/Mover via Western Union who would be coming to your location or public place for the pick up of the Couch after receiving the funds.

In summary, you deduct the amount for your Couch + $50 + Western Union charges and send the rest to the Driver. Here are the details of the Driver/Mover who you will be sending the funds to:

After sending the Funds to him via western union, You are to get back to me with the Western Union details below:

1. The exact amount sent
2. Money Transfer Control Number (10 digits MTCN)

Jerry will be coming with a mover to help him with the moving of the Couch to the truck so you need not bother yourself. I would be awaiting the Western Union details for the Driver so we can fix a pick-up date this weekend. Thanks

this guy reached out to me in response I had for a couch listing on Craigslist. I had a gut feeling this was a scam - and not only did I get an email from him- but another scammer for the same sofa!!!

I would have been happy to travel down for the pickup and payment of the Couch myself, but I just relocated due to an urgent project. However, my daughter works with United State Postal Services (USPS) and we will be glad to pay with a USPS Money Order. She has also arranged with a Mover/Driver who will come for the pickup of the Couch at your address or any public place of your choice. I'll appreciate it if you consider it sold to us via this means.

We will only come for pick up after you have received the Money Orders and they have been duly processed at your Bank, only there and then will we arrange for the pick up of the Couch. I would like to know how your name should appear on the USPS Money Order and what valid residential/office address or public place should we mail it to via UPS courier service. We are ready to make payment as soon as we get your mailing details. Pls signify clearly if the Couch is no more available so we don't waste time with endless discussions. I looked on Craiglist and noticed that this is a commonly used scam- where they "overpay you" and then you have to wire the overpayment, leaving you with a fradulent check, and out of whatever you're selling, and legally responsible for this transaction. Report this person!!!!

I hope you are fine and alright. I have been busy myself but doing great. There is something i think i must bring to your notice.

After a reconciliation of my account , i discovered that somehow my assistant must have over paid you. The payment that was meant for another transaction was sent to you and the one meant for you was sent to another, however i want to believe i wont have a problem with you.

Please once you receive your payment, i will like you to deduct your money and send the remaining via western union to the shipping company that will help me with the pick-up. I will ask them to contact you as soon as possible .Let me know

Same Couch scam as he has done for months.

Think any Government agency would do anything or is the cutbacks that bad they don't care if he does this. He should be in Jail, OH YEAH FREE Rent and Food there!

This guy message me also send the email many times that he sent the money order bed cost $40 and he will hire a mover? what a crap...he said he sent me $950 money order and send the balance to the driver

I gave him the FBI address hope they will open it and check the money order is a fake and investigate..

The e-mail I got was from Mr. Edward Porter not Mr. Green but the body of the message was verbatim. I hope everyone filed a complaint with the USPS. He shipped the fake postal money order to me via USPS express mail return address James Sorenson 2342 Brentwood Rd NW Canton OH 44708. It seems the real trick it to catch the inbound shipment of fake money orders!

I got an email to send Jerry Freedle 1500.00 for a 300.00 item i was selling on Craigs list. I got 2 cashiers checks in the mail i took them to be verified and they were fake. What a bunch of morons.
