Got a text on a Craigslist post also... told 'em PayPal was not happening, wire transfer only ... Never heard back... SCAM

Selling a car on Craigslist and this number wanted to purchase it for his wife, but he is out of town and he has a shipping agent. Said his name is James and he would like to purchase it as a Christmas surprise for his wife. He was willing to pay by Paypal. Looked up number and noticed many complaints that this is a SCAM!!!

Received an early morning text message concerning a craigslist posting for a beater car and they are located half way across the country. Now I received an unsolicited text message afterwards. Scam artist. AVOID.

Helo I posted something on craigslist aswell and got a texy from this number please let me how this is a scam before I do something stupid. I could really use your inside info on this please tell me as soon as possible

I too posted on craigslist and started getting texts about a motocyle. He wanted to do paypal. Said i only do cash or cashiers check. He said he was out of town and no access to post office. SCAM

This one in particular, is a scam looking to work over craigslist postings.. Unfortunately, when you post on craigslist this is not an uncommon experience. Some are legit calls. If you stated "no text" or "no texting messages" in your posting, and you receive a message anyway, I would avoid it.
