Have had this number call me claiming I owe some money to a loan company back on 2011. Didn't take out loan. They ate trying to get me to pay to close it or they will come to my job . After the conversation the person said good luck . They could not give any other information to me. Any professional service will give you who what where when to further assist you and not say good luck. This is crazy . Fed up!!!!!!

Angela, I hope that by now, you have realized this is a scam and taken steps to put a stop to the harassment.

Here's what the government has to say about tactics like these:
http://www.consumerfinance.gov/askcfpb/1699/h ... legitimate.html

Unless you owe money on your house or car and haven't been making your payments, there is no way a debt collector (or court)  can take them away.

This is especially true, if the debt is 10 years old. They have no legal recourse, and never will. Not even if it is for a million dollars, and is a real, legitimate, you-got-the-money/product/service debt. Maybe you should have paid your debt, but they waited too long to try collecting it.

Scam or legitimate collector of ancient debts, they rely on FUD -- Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt -- to get money they don't deserve. That's why they come on so strong, immediately.

CWG40 -- This is good information. It shows that the apparently real, but seemingly defunct, business is not in Utah. That's where Area Code 385 is located.

If the company that calls us were legitimate, doing a Web search on their number would produce links to the actual company. And, it wouldn't result in so many complaints about aspects that scam artists employ.

NOW GO TO THESE TWO WEB SITES AND REPORT THE SCUM
