Got this call too, labeled "SSI" (which as far as I know is supplemental security income, US Government) and with CID stating it's from SSI. Reverse lookup and this site suggest Ogden Utah (which I know but have no relationship with). Hard to imagine SSI calling (I'm not a recipient), no relationship to Utah, ever, and I'm on the Do Not Call List. Not legit, it would appear.

A woman of Asian descent/accent calls my cell phone at least once a week, Asking for my daughter (who is almost 23 yrs old) - I tell them they have a Wrong Number. The woman says, Oh I'm so sorry I will make note of that. She hangs up.. I give it 3 or 4 days and she will be calling me back, asking for my daughter again.
I hate to play this game with them BUT in this day & age, everyone has their own cell number, as does my daughter and I KNOW she has not given MY number out to anyone as a way to contact her. So, whoever they are, its bullChit and I'm not giving out my daughter's cell number.. cuz they will annoy Her as much as they've been annoying me.
Market Research is basically anonymous - they just want to talk to 'people..' They keep asking for just my daughter.
This isn't about Marketing Research or random samplings.
