My company received two calls from Manpower, one on 10/15/13 and the other on 10/17/13 from a female with a heavy accent. She asked to speak with a manager, so the call was transferred to me. She gave a speech that they were conducting a survey in regards to employment increasing/decreasing in the spring of 2014. The first time she called I informed her that I didn't have the information she needed, that the general manager will be back from vacation in a week, and she had the correct information. The lady agreed and that ended our phone call.
The second call (10/17/13) it sounded like the same female, and she repeated the exact same information to me that I heard on the first call. I informed her that I had been called previously, and that the information was still the same: the general manager will be back within a week if they needed accurate information. The lady then told me that as a manager, I should be able to answer this information. (Note: I am the assistant manager that is only partially in charge of hiring, the general manager has the final decision). She then told me that she only was asking for my opinion for their survey, after I told her I didn't feel comfortable with her questions. Why would you conduct a survey on employment based on an opinion from a manager that isn't in charge of hiring? I told her that I wouldn't provide the information she wanted, and I hung up.
